BRK was formed in the USA by Mr Burke, Mr Roberts and Mr Kimberline
1967 - Invention & manufacture of first domestic smoke alarm
1969 - Achieved world's first approval for a battery powered smoke alarm to the American UL standard
1976 - First smoke alarm sold in Europe
1990 - BRK manufacturing to newly published British Standards BS 5446 Pt.1:1990
1995 - First domestic CO alarm launched
1997 - Designed world's first smoke + CO combined detection into a single alarm
2000 - BS 5446 Pt.1:200 standard upgrade
2004 - New Photoelectric range launch
2006 - BRK Brands acquired Dicon Safety products
2010 - BRK part of Sprue Safety Products group
